Scientists express the "brightness" of light in terms of
"intensity." The brighter the light, the more intense it is. The word
"intensity" can be used to for both the light and the heat of the sun.
Heat is usually most intense when light is most intense.
At right we see a dark green circle on a bright green background and a bright green circle on a dark green background. Or do we? Clicking on "Show True Brightness" will change the backgrounds of the two circles, but the circles themselves will remain unchanged. Click on "Show True Brightness" now. |
